The idea was developed by Danny Lewis, who has previously worked for one of the largest sports coaching companies in the country. During his time there he realised that the sports being offered to children were often the same, with the same standard drills and activities. It was this that made Danny want to create his own sessions with his own unique stamp, making sport fun for everyone and more expressive.
Our sports coordinator Sasha Ingham, joined the team in 2015. Sasha is also our designated safeguarding officer and leads our internal staff training. Although she has a busy role ensuring our high standards are always being met, Sasha can often be seen delivering a range of clubs including Gymnastics, Street Dance and Dodgeball.
All our sessions are delivered by qualified and enthusiastic coaches that are fully DBS/CRB checked. We emphasis team work, fun and encouraging children to become more confident as individuals.
Our planned and well thought out sessions will promote children's co-ordination, balance and agility as well as many other aspects.
SportyStars aims to introduce young sportsmen and women to a wide range of sport based activities, nurturing potential no matter how great or small, as well as contributing to the recommended “60 minutes of physical activity”.
Working with local schools we want to make sport fun and enjoyable for as many individuals as possible, as well as developing life skills, such as confidence, personal achievement and team work.
